Landwasserviadukt

Landwasser Viaduct, built in 1901-02, is a 65m high and 142m long railway bridge with a curve radius of only 100m leading directly into a tunnel. It's one of the famous engineering feats of the Albula railway which gained world heritage status in 2008. whc.unesco.org/en/list/1276

These three images are all nicely composed, with excellent detail and sharpness. I especially like the first PiP, showing the train moving right across the centre of the frame.

Fast nur Fähnchen, das Feuerwerk in St, Moritz wurde wegen der Wettervorhersage (heftige Gewitter) abgesagt. Ein paar wenige private Feuerwerkchen hat man gesehen, bevor das Gewitter völlig reinkam...

Ja genau, inder Zentral- und Südschweiz war das Wetter am 1. August glaubs gar nicht so gut. Hier im Mittelland war es eigentlich optimal, Regen erst dann gegen 02:00 morgens, das löscht alle allfälligen Restfeuerwerke ;-)

Sehr schön, Gudrun, du konntest wohl aus dem offenen Fenster fotografieren? - Diese Linie kenne ich bisher noch nicht, wohl den --> Glacier-Express und den Bernina.Express,
die allerdings auch nicht als Mitfahrer. Die Rhätische Bahn hat sehr früh den "Zug" der Zeit erkannt und realisiert.

Besten Dank, Volker! Bernina und Glacier Express sowie Centovalli-Bahn bin ich auch gefahren, aber leider waren das Panoramawagen, in denen die Fenster nicht zu öffnen waren.... Glacier-Express muss nicht nochmal sein, die Gletscher sind eh alle weg, die anderen gerne wieder, aber im normalen Waggon.
