Prachtvoll...dieses Licht...eher ungewöhnlich, wo die Gotik doch eher dunkel war...mag ich sehr gerne, ich wäre ehrfürchtig glücklich dort drin ;)

Herzlichen Dank, Tanja! Die Kathedrale war gut beleuchtet! Beim spätgotischen Umbau im Langhaus haben sie außerdem die Fenster deutlich vergrößert.

Thanks a lot, Peter! I have always liked the blue with stars you can see above the choir stalls, it looks even better on ceilings like in Exeter or Carlisle. The red lady wouldn't go out of the way, so I incorporated her:-)

You are quite right, Gudrun, he was exactly that! I was thinking more along the lines of old age. In a world without antibiotics, even a tooth absess could be fatal. Sheer luck to survive beyond 50!

True, to reach the age of around 70 was a real achievement in thise times! His privileged upbringing and life must have helped....

Dabei war die Ortschaft zuerst da! Da sieht man mal wieder unser Amerika-zentrisches Weltbild;-)
In Google kann's ja auch passieren, dass ich Stuttgart/ Alabama angezeigt bekomme und bei Eingabe von York bekommt man alle möglichen Yorks, nur nicht das Original in England, da muss man Great Britain dazuschreiben....

RAW-Dateien sind was herrliches, oder? Wenn ich denke, wie dunkel es zwischen diesen Chorstühlen war ...
Ich war da nicht lange, mir war's da zu eng und zu unruhig (obwohl allgemein gar nicht so viel los war, bzw. viele Leute im Langhaus saßen und der Chorprobe zuhörten).

Ja, RAW ist ein Segen, und dass die neueren Kameras bei hoher ISO noch erträglisches Rauschen fabrizieren:-) Dazu lässt das UWW auch mehr Licht rein als normale Objektive, das hilft.

Ich glaube, ich habe das hier auch schon mal gefragt: mit welcher Software bearbeitest du deine RAW's? Mein Uralt-PhotoShop geht nicht und auch mit dem Paint Shop Pro kann ich sie nicht öffnen.

Ich bearbeite mit Lightroom, ich habe noch das alte stand-alone, das zum Glück meine 6D schon kennt:-)
Hast du eigentlich mit deiner Canon nicht die Canon-eigene Software bekommen? Mit der (Digital Photo Professional) sollte es eigentlich auch gehen.

Ich weiß, dass Lutz sich ein neues Lightroom-Cloud-Abo zulegen musste, weil sein altes seine neue Lumix nicht erkannt hat... Es nervt wirklich, dass man oft mit neuen Kameras seine alte Software nicht weiterbenutzen kann.

Kann mich nicht erinnern, eine Software mit der Canon erhalten zu haben. Auch nicht für die neue Sony A7 III (ja, ich habe mich jetzt entschlossen und eine gekauft! :-) ).
Ich werde mich wohl mal beim Fotofachhändler meines Vertrauens erkundigen müssen ;-)

Ich hatte damals eine CD zur 6D bekommen, da war die ganze Software drauf. Gratulatation zur Sony! Ja, die Nachfrage beim Händler ist wohl eine gute Idee, vielleicht legt er dir ja was drauf;-) Ich nehme an, mein altes Lightroom würde die Sony auch nicht mehr kennen.

Das geht aber auch anders! Mit dem kostenlosen DNG-Converter von Adobe die Raws in DNG konvertieren (was sonst? ;-) ) und mit denen dann in die "alte" Software (PS Camera Raw oder LR) - macht ein Freund von mir mit seinen neuen Schätzchen (Fuji XT & Sony A7).

Mein altes "second hand G'raffel" erkennt PS 6 zum Glück noch, mit LR habe ich gar nie angefangen, ich steh' auf Windows Ordnerstruktur. ;-)

Und wenn man Adobe doch mal einen Tritt geben will, für ihre blöde SW-Politik, dann ist DxO Photo Lab auch noch eine ganz gute Wahl. Nach spätestens 18 Monaten hast du den Anschaffungspreis dank der gesparten Adobe-Gebühr wieder drinnen.
