Diese "Extrem"- Winterjacken
- werden die eigentlich den Passagieren auf dem Schiff zur Verfügung gestellt - oder mußt Du Deine komplette Ausrüstung selber von zu Hause mitbringen ?

Vielen Dank, Heidi! Das sind vor allem wasserdichte Jacken, Hurtigruten- Arbeitskleidung von Helly Hansen. Die Passagiere konnten sowas mal im Shop kaufen, aber du musst schon deine eigenen Klamotten mitbringen. Sollten die mal anfangen, a la Kreuzfahrt sowas an Paxe auszugeben, fahr ich nicht mehr mit;-)

Wieso ? Was hast Du für ein Problem damit ? Sind doch nur "Überjacken".
Hab irgendwo (im Zusammenhang mit Antarktis-Touren auf 'nem Expeditionsschiff) gelesen, daß die Spezialkleidung an Bord gestellt wird.
Für eine Schlauchboot-Tour ab Svolvaer haben wir alle winddichte Hosen, Jacken und Spezialhandschuhe bekommen, ohne die wären wir im Trollfjord erfroren.

Ja, auf den Expeditionsreisen in die Arktis oder Antarktis bekommt jeder Passgier eine (dünne) wasserdichte Jacke, die er danach behalten kann. Was Warmes drunter und eine wasserdichte Hose musst du dir trotzdem mitnehmen. Ich bin kein Freund von EInheitslook- 200 Leute alle in gleichen Jacken, naja....;-)
Dass man auf Schlauchboottouren etc. Wärmeoveralls geliehen bekommt, finde ich gut und es dient auch der Sicherheit. Hurtigruten entlang Norwegens Küste ist aber immer noch gleichzeitig ein Frachtschiff und Fähre für die Einheimischen, dafür bekommen sie vom Staat nicht wenig Geld (auch wenn der Hauptumsatz mit Touristen gemacht wird).

These jackets look just right for the weather. The view is gorgeous, and even the crew, who must be used to seeing beautiful places, seem to be really enjoying it too.

Thank you so much, Amelia! I don't know whether the jackets are insulated but they are certainly waterproof, Helly Hansen make very functional clothing for fishermen and sailors.
I think these two were on their first trip, there were quite a few "greenhorns" among the crew and they used their breaks to take photos and selfies.

A lovely shot Gudrun and posed or not it still has a nice romantic feel to it. Beautiful light and the cold doesn't matter if you are wrapped up warm - and these crew members are not only wrapped up but cuddled up too!
