Mal zur Definition Unweiche: Es handelt sich dabei um eine Weiche, die zwar als Sachanlage und auch physisch in der Örtlichkeit noch (zumindest teilweise) vorhanden ist, deren Außenanlagen aber sicherungstechnisch nicht mehr berücksichtigt werden und die auch keiner Weichenprüfung mehr unterzogen werden muss. Meist sind Unweichen daran zu erkennen, dass bereits wesentliche Teile der Weichenfahrbahn ausgebaut oder unterbrochen sind, die Weiche also nicht mehr vollständig ist und ihre Funktionalität nicht mehr besteht.
Sieht man doch eher sehr selten.

Gudrun club has replied to bonsai59 clubIch habe gelesen, dass es in Goathland Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Eisenbahnwaggons gibt, deshalb vermute ich, dass das die beiden rechts sind:-)
Die Strecke ist von Helmsley bis Grosmont Museumsstrecke, von Grosmont bis Whitby teilt sie sich die Schienen mit der "normalen" Bahn (Strecke Middlesbrough-Whitby).

Frank is bound to be knowlegeable, he works at Deutsche Bahn!

Ähnliche Konstruktionen gab es früher an den Grenzanlagen der DDR, um Republikfluchten zu verhindern.
