Thank you so much, Amelia! Well, there's the Iper-Meeting in Berlin next weekend and after that I have visitors... So catching up will be patchy and slow but I'll get there in the end;-)

The carriages in NYMR reminded me of my interrailing days- to open the doors you had to open the window and lean out for the door handle.That always used to be hazardous with a big backpack;-)

Tausend Dank, Tanja! Nordengland ist superschön, ich habe auch jede Menge ruinierte Abteien fotografiert;-) Das Querformatfoto ist kräftig aus RAW bearbeitet, der Vordergrund war dunkel und der Himmel zu hell....
Tja, von Freitag bis Montag Berlin und dann Besuch, da werde ich auch zu wenig kommen. Aber irgendwann wird's schon werden!

Thanks, Graham! We really enjoyed the train ride from Pickering to Whitby, most of the time I was hanging out of the window trying to catch the loco;-) In Grosmont we met the other train and had enough time to get out and take photos.

Vielen Dank, Lutz! Mir hat das auch tierisch Spass gemacht. Die Waggons waren von der Sorte wie zu meinen Interrailerzeiten- wenn du aussteigen wolltest, musstest du das Fenster aufmachen und nach außen greifen, innen waren keine Türgriffe. Mit großem Rucksack hatte ich immer Angst, dass ich kopfunter rauskippe;-)
