A lovely pair of nighttime images Gudrun..............with very nice lighting and beautiful warm colours, especially where the lights shine on the wet surface of the dock.

I like the slightly wider image in the PiP too for exactly the same reasons.

I see adverts for Hurtigruten cruises all the time our our TV stations - they seem very popular!

Thanks a lot, Keith! That lovely old ship is now out of service:-( Not enough comfort for "cruise" passengers.
Since a British investment company started running Hurtigruten AS the focus is ever more on the cruise segment, but don't fall for the so called "expedition" cruises, they are just a rip off. The classic coastal journeys are another matter, they are subsidised by the Norwegian state and have to comply with Norwegian regulations. I have often travelled with them and usually book via the Norwegian site which is cheaper than the German or English one;-)

The advertisements are very enticing but cruising is not really something I would enjoy and anyway I couldn't afford it nowadays.
