Bent

Remains of the bridge over Skeiðarársandur, destroyed in the 1996 jökulhlaup after the Gjálp (Grimsvötn) eruption. The peak flow was 45.000 m3/s, sweeping away even the strongest construction.
The bent steel supports were placed by the ring road as a monument to the destructive forces of nature.

Thank you so much, Adele! In Iceland you really get to feel that nature's stronger. The only problem are some tourists who choose to ignore the fact:-)
