Te Maari Craters
Te Maari Craters seen from Lake Rotoaira, 6 days after the second eruption. The craters are part of the Tongariro volcanic massif. They produced a VEI 2 phreatic eruption in Aug 2012 after a century of inactivity, followed by a second smaller eruption in November.

Gudrun club has replied to Dave Hilditchalles was ich bisher von NZ kenne, hat geendet mit dem Ergebnis 'Ähnlich wie bei uns hier in der Alpenregion'.
So auch die zahlreichen Filme, die ich gesehen habe und auch die Infos unserer Reiseleiterin, die uns damals mehrere Wochen durch Australien geführt hat und die wir auch später und nach Jahren noch getroffen haben und die ursprünglich aus der Chiemsee-Region stammte und nun seit Jahren in NZ lebt.
Was ich bei Dir hier sehe, lässt mich langsam an dieser Meinung zweifeln, denn entweder Du stöberst verborgene Regionen dieses Landes auf, oder ich habe falsche Filme gesehen und mit den falschen Leuten geredet.
Deine Bilder dieses herrlichen Landes sind einfach umwerfend.

Gudrun club has replied to ©UdoSm clubAber NZ ist viel vielfältiger, im Norden subtropisch, in der Mitte sehr vulkanisch und im Süden Fjorde usw... Die europäischen Siedler haben viel gerodet und wie zuhause gebaut, aber letztendlich sind die heimische Flora und Fauna und die Geologie komplett anders als bei uns. Stichwort Gondwanaland und pazifischer Feuerring....
Das hier gehört zu den Touri-Highlights, ist also alles gar nicht unbekannt;-)
