Juvenile Snowy Egret or White Heron TSC Birds
I used an older photo as right now I am a bit homebound. I am a bird and nature photographer and many of my shots are of sea birds taken from a boat or the shore.
This is a juvenile snowy egret or snowy white heron, not to be mistaken for his relative the Great White Egret (in the notes). I also posted a photo of his closer cousin, the night heron.
All of these are sea birds. They fish and eat small bait fish in waterways in our area and throughout the east coast. I have seen the night heron eat crabs and other live critters on the shore. They are all fascinating to watch and photograph.
