At our Thurday night life drawing sessions, the models start out with a number of one minute poses. Sometimes 4 or 5 poses will stick in my mind and when I put them all together it comes out something like this. ;-)
Ink and oil pastels on 11 by 14 inch Bristol vellum paper.

All rush grow run fly!
But deep within the greenwood
Time to contemplate.

Reaching for the sky,
The Ancient Greeks have named her,

Sometimes in the night
The depth of silence wakes her,

Quiet autumn
Cloaked in mad bright colors
Fall, unbalanced, a bit out of kilter
Wraps the world for winter's rest.
I started this painting back in February, 2009 as part of my 4 seasons set.
Acrylic on wood panel, 24" X 30"
By the way: All for seasons were painted on this same panel (preceding season gessoed over and the next one painted on top of it).

I'm not quite sure if this should be called a mead or a beer. I brewed it with honey and some grain plus hops and I'll allow it to naturally carbonate as a beer.
