The whole process needs to be reasonably sterile, every thing you see here that touched the brew has been carefully sanitized.

It's most convenient to move a brew from the fermenter to another vessel before kegging or bottling, to avoid stirring up and transferring the yeast as well.
The model as Mt. McKinley

Years ago I was doing a bunch of 'the model as' sketches. Back then Mt. Denali was Mt. Mckinley.

Going through my files, I came across these pictures of totem poles I took in a south east Alaska village 20, or so, years back.

Just doodling with chalk pastels. The main thing I wanted to capture/suggest is the aurora. This, the first one, A1, seemed a bit dead, so I changed it as seen in A2.

Just doodling with chalk pastels. The main thing I wanted to capture/suggest is the aurora. My first try, A1, seemed lifeless, so I added a suggestion of a skier coming down the hill.
I didn't like the spruce tree, so on to A3

This is the last version/modification of my doodle. I took out the the spruce tree (A nice thing about working in chalk pastels, you can often simply wipe out a part you don't like and replace it with something else.) replacing it with a snow mass to kind of balance the sky in the in the upper right.

Just a little brush work practice. Ink on paper, roughly 3 by 4 inches (8 by 10 cm).
