It is indeed a fine specimen Peter! I didn't use to take a lot of notice of mushrooms/fungi, until I became a member of Ipernity. Now I see so many wonderful pictures of so many varieties, that I now point them out to whoever I am with! :-))

It was much bigger than the others I would guess about 8inch dia and 12 high, did you see the amazing clear one Fred posted? there are some on my page 65 I've not seen many this year but I've not been to the number of different places. I was lucky enough to photograph a of capital specimens Parasol mushrooms. I called one specimen An umbrella for dwarfs
