I love old postcards. I often buy ones I see in charity shops or collectors sales. This is lovely Peter. They are all very smart in their hats, both the men and women. Probably in their Sunday best! Are the fountain and trough still there? Hope you enjoy your weekend and the good weather continuies.

There wasn't a fountain horses were considered more important than people !! some what ironically the building is a butchers that used to have it's own slaughter house.

Looking at the people I think a lot of them had been invited to attend they look to well dressed for local Groby people at the time it was small village employment would have been on the land or at the granite quarry
