*R*I*P* BDD : Ben de-Dog
Folder: SOME OF THE ANIMALS IN OUR LIVES
Ben has left to cross the rainbow bridge, just after Noon on the 4th June 2024. The last thing he heard was me telling him what a good lad he was and I was hugging him to the end. His ashes were handed back to us on 12th June 2024.

dol / BDD - Ben at the falls
Ben sitting on the viewing platform for the lowest cascade at Dolgoch Falls.
[very sturdy fence to make a safe area]
BDD - up the fell
Julie, Ben, Ian and Dave up a fellside in the Lake District, waiting for Sara to take the picture and then join them.
BDD - on the sand
Ben checking the beach out - rather too much plastic litter for my taste. (Some was collected)
BDD - determined
Ben was determined to drag this large branch around the beach. It was far too heavy to do anything else with it.
BDD - large branch dragged
Ben had dragged this long - and heavy - branch from near to the harbour wall, the "scratch" marked sand can be seen in the background.
whn - BDD - large long branch
Ben has found a particularly long branch, and dragged it down the beach. Far too heavy to throw ! but we did play "tug-of-war" for a while.
BDD - icy sand
The white patches are actually ice / hoar frost on the sand of the outer harbour beach. Yes, it is still very cold and crisp, especially in the shade..
BDD - come and play
Ben is waiting for someone to play with him. Standing on the outer harbour beach with an ebbing tide and very bright winter sunshine, despite which, it is very cold !
BDD - asleep
Ben asleep on the long berth, after an extended walk. Started off by running about on the outer harbour beach, followed by one and a half times around the harbour, plus along the west pier - then shopping in Whitehaven.
BDD - wanting, or not
Ben, trying to decide if he wants another walk or perhaps some treats ? or maybe he just needs a nap, with his head on a cushion.
BDD - berthed
Ben, having been for a long walk, has decided that a rest is the next item in his "to do list" - up on the long berth, out of the way !
BDD - lying still
Ben taking a break on the best patch of grass at Seascale, having just been chasing the ball over most of the beach.
BDD - and another boat
BDD - woodland walk
Ben leading the way around the regular woodland walk, around the perimeter of the site, whilst on our holiday in Norfolk. A lot of the trees are "Sweet Chestnut" - the edible type.
BDD - gracing BVR
Ben sitting in the middle of the compartment. He carried in the black rucksack behind him, I think he chose this one because it was the only carriage without other dogs and small children.
He is also waiting for me to fill his water bottle / bowl as he wants a drink.
BDD - off to see Balmoral
BDD - cruise to st bees
Ben in his "on board office"and sharing the rubber duck with the photographer. On our way to St Bees.
BDD - MINE !!!
I found it, it's mine ! I tell you ... ok, ok, you can have it, but only if you chuck it into the sea for me to fetch.
(which makes a change from the usual ball)
.
was taken on the "late in the day" walk ... it is dark for the last one !
