Comparing the number of hospital admissions in the early stage of the Second Wave (Kent variant - Autumn 2020) with the present situation as the Third Wave ['Indian' variant] begins. The growth in New Cases compared for the start of the second wave (Kent variant in Autumn 2020) and the present situation (start of the 'Indian' variant's Third Wave). Still there is the concentration on administering First doses, to achieve at least some immunity in the younger adults - although it does take two to three weeks to achieve that protection. The number of New Cases ['Indian' variant] in this Third Wave continues to increase, although hospitalisations and deaths seem less connected than previously. The vaccine rollout is now providing first doses to all the younger age groups, as anyone over 18yrs old can book appointments or attend walk-in and various "pop-up" facilities at a wide range of venues. Progress with administering second doses continues, although people are being reminded not to book too early, somewhere between 8 and 12 weeks being regarded the optimum.
