oaw[HH] - hello !

Chunky hedgepig found at home - I think the wind shut the door behind her/him, as we found him in the outhouse. There had been food in the outhouse already and s/he was waiting to be let out !
methinks this is our regular visitor as s/he seemed not overly scared of us - more annoyed at being shut in for a few hours. Ate some more food and skedaddled sharpish !

SoS[24] - last sign of spring

This rhododendron flowers right at the end of Spring [first day of meteorological summer is actually first of June].
It is the wild variety and came as a very small plant from my father's garden in North Wales. Normally, these are classed as invasive weeds as they seed like they are trying to take over the world, but this particular one doesn't usually set seed.

The eponymous stone circle at Stanton Moor in the Peak District, which is dated to the Bronze Age.
There are a number of legends as to the derivation of "Nine Ladies", including at least one fairy tale about nine ladies being punished for dancing on the sabbeth.
