s&w[??] - banks of the Tyne {3 of 4}

The view from on top of the Alston Arches viaduct, across the River South Tyne at the condition of the north bank due to erosion during a flood spate event.
Note the shape of the apron, which may have contributed to the situation.
For scale, those as standard 45 gal drums.
