O&S(meme) - 3% ??

Not a new idea - getting the rich to properly pay their fair share of taxes {and not have clever accountants find loopholes for dodging into - evade or avoid ?} would allow so much extra for proper funding of public services and save the government from the expensive borrowing.

IMHO - for too much tax is dodged, both by large businesses and already rich individuals, getting that into the treasury would balance the budget in a far better way than slashing spending ...
