sam - stores sign
This sign make me chuckle to myself.
It reminded me of stories told by both my own father [civilian tool-maker] and my father-in-law [military & civilian] about their attempts to get "stuff" out of stores at various times, especially during WW2.
To be honest, I've also worked with more than one office manager with a similar attitude about handing in defunct items when requesting new stock, even cheap pencils and ball-point pens ...
