{OK} sam - Solway Aviation Museum

We've made several visits here over the years, but this is our first "post Covid" one.
After paying our money, we had a walk around outside and then went around inside both buildings - whilst trying to avoid a couple of rain showers and a bunch of young people with little or no idea of social distancing - rather disconcerting as at least one of them had a distinct cough. The very informative displays inside the main building are very well done, and someone has very carefully packed a considerable number of small planes into "A" Block [which reminded me of packing hangers at gliding clubs !]. Being able to get into several of the external exhibits was "interesting" - and something of a challenge at times. We didn't go down to the Vulcan this time, as we have been in both this one and the one at Sunderland on other visits ...
Blackburn Beverley - SAM have recently [2023?] acquired the world's last Blackburn Beverley from a museum in Hull, the parts were moved in 2024 after funds were raised, restoration and display will follow ...
