Building at risk

The Hotspur Press building on Cambridge Street in Manchester started life as one of the Medlock cotton mills in the early 19th century before becoming a printing works in the later 19th century. It is best known for its time as the home of Percy Brothers' Hotspur Press. It is now in the hands of developers with all tenants evicted and the building rapidly decaying. There have been plenty of grand plans for apartments but nothing has come of these. It would not be a surprise if an unexplained fire occurred in order to allow new building to take place on the site.
