Tower Building

Tower Building
The Tower Building on Water Street, Liverpool, stands opposite the Royal Liver Building. It was constructed between 1906 and 1910 to the design of W. Aubrey Thomas who was also responsible for the latter building. The greyish-white terracotta faience is by Doulton and was intended to be self-cleaning. The battlements are a reference to the Tower of Liverpool which once stood on the site. Once offices, the upper floors have now been converted to apartments. The building is listed Grade II*.
