Looking up

These fungi were growing high up on a tree trunk, in the wooded area below the Bow Valley Ranch, at the east end of Fish Creek Park. Hey, Doug, even some Lichen specially for you, LOL!

Remembering the fun(gus) times

As usual, I have no idea what species this one is - or the tiny one in the bottom right corner : ) However, it was just one of the many mushrooms that gave me great joy this fall. Found it growing at Brown-Lowery Provincial Park.

Splash of orange

I rarely come across an orange mushroom, so this one was a real treat to see at Brown-Lowery Provincial Park.

Like a porcelain teacup

This mushroom makes me think of a fine porcelain teacup with light shining through it. I came across it when I stopped and went for a hike somewhere off Elbow Falls Trail (Highway 66); i.e. the eastern edge of the mountains.

It's one of THEM again

LOL, I still come across an occasional mushroom photo in my fairly recent archives and want to add it to my Fungi Set. Just wait till next year, for the fungi season - then you can get REALLY sick of my fungi photos : )

Brightening the day

Back in September, we came across these gorgeous fungi growing on an old log at Mallard Point, Fish Creek Park. Just love the colour : )

Let's decorate the tree

Not as sharp as it could be, but I liked the Polypore fungus (thanks, Machel - I am never 100% certain, so thought it safer not to give any ID) and lichens decorating this narrow tree trunk. Seen at Brown-Lowery Provincial Park on 4th September 2008.

Green mushrooms

Can't believe I took this photo in August 2004, using my very first digital camera, an Olympus C750UZ point-and-shoot. Happened to come across it last night and wanted to add it to my Fungi of Alberta set. Taken somewhere along the Elbow Falls Trail (Highway 66).
