R.I.P. Flickr friend, Tijmen Kroes

I received a very sad message yesterday from Flickr member Hans Viveen, saying that Flickr friend, Tijmen, died on July 30th 2010 after a long struggle against his illness. I always enjoyed his beautiful photos and his kind comments, and knowing that he had been ill, became very concerned when Tijmen stopped posting photos many months ago. Thank you so much, Hans, for explaining why this had happened. Tijmen, your beautiful photos will continue to bring joy to many people, both on and off Flickr - thank you for sharing such beauty seen through your eyes. Dear Tijmen, may you rest in peace.

Photographed this beautiful winter wonderland when I was on the Banff/Canmore (in the Rocky Mountains) Christmas Bird Count on December 18th. Part of our walking area was along the Bow River, looking out over the mountain peaks in the mist.
