The stare

The stare
This is one of the Great Gray Owls that lives in the walk-through aviary at the Calgary Zoo. It was perched in a tree right next to one of the huge gates and most people were not noticing it : ) Though I have seen Great Gray Owls in the wild several times, I've never been able to get even a half-decent, distant shot.
