Strawberry-Balsamic Jam

This jar didn't quite get full enough for canning. So we had to eat it. Boo-hoo. ;)

Doña Luz Purse 2

Secondhand "Andé" purse, upcycled with gesso, acrylics, paper collage, sharpies, modpodge, and krylon.
Yes, I know the first exclamation mark is the wrong way up. It just fit the shape of the purse better this way.

The Bogg

|
This is the farm my grandmother's great-grandfather left when he emigrated to America in 1852. We visited on a rainy, chilly day, and there were sheep all over. Don't think the satellite dish was there back in the day. ;)
Meal at Bijou, Leith
| |
|
Bijou is a lovely little cafe on a corner near Leith Links. We ate dinner there twice while we were in Edinburgh. This is a big bowl of mushroom soup with bread (I really like good mushroom soup), a quiche with greens, a bowl of fries (for daughter) and a chocolate cheesecake with raspberry ice cream and coulis (for son).

That's a big onion, several grapefruit, a bunch of radishes, kale, lettuce, basil, corn, squash, tomatoes, green beans, oranges, apples.
CSA Meal, 9/10/10

I used the CSA box from yesterday to make a bunch of goodies for the bunco party (my turn to host). Two tomato/basil/parmesan tarts, one squash/onion/ricotta tart, fruit salad, and green salad.
Mozart Costume
| |
|
This is from a few years ago--I posted the wig here, but not the full costume. It's the season when folks are looking for costume ideas on Flickr, so here's the complete look.
All the stuff is from our various closets except the wig, which I made. She's carrying one of her brother's plastic keyboards. The "Push" button is for the school's wax museum event, where creative costuming is encouraged.
