In answer to your question, I would say it's popular on that other site because it's a typical English scene with English weather, depicting the homeliness of a simple pub and church, enhanced by the lights of a Christmas tree.

I would have preferred a little more south and west, with less north and east, but perhaps there was a car inconveniently parked on the left.
