Looking back from this scene it is very busy and will get even more busy during the summer season.
Many thanks for the comment Güni and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend

Such a lovely view, especially in that glorious sunshine James. I love the blue sky and the colour of the sea is sublime.......almost tropical. The boats provide a nice bit of foreground interest.

I'm intrigued by what seems to be some sort of lookout point, on top of the cliff to the left.........any idea what it is?

Nice scene Keith but Colwell bat is packed with tourists (and locals) in the summer. The building is Fort Albert which was part of the sea defence system.
Thanks for your generous comment, glad you like this little scene

Thanks for the reply James.....I would never have guessed it was a fort. I thought it might have been a bunker left over from the war.

Stay cool ;-)

It was used up until 1960 and then sold and used as a holiday camp!! The other buildings you see there are now the holiday camp and as far as I know the fort is disused and you can no longer gain entry to it.
The Brambles is named after a Mariner who owned the land there.

You stay cool too it's a bit bit warm at the moment !!
