Taken during a side trip near Wasila, Alaska. I was using an older Sigma 70-300 macro lens with the Nikon D700. Worked fine.

I originally purchased the 70-300 macro to use with the D80 (not full frame). It was put aside when I purchased the Nikkor 70-300 for the full-frame D700. Well, as time went by, it turns out that the "older" Sigma with macro could do things that the Nikkor could not. Of course, photos such as this from Alaska, were taken before I purchased the Nikkor lens. (NOW, of course, this is all moot, as I'm using the Panasonic GX85.)
