'World photography day'...19/08/2022..,,'Freedom',,.. by Dj.
'Freedom'....... to the left are wide open pastures of farmland where various animals are able to freely wander....... a foliage covered old stone wall built by workers many years ago... a boardwalk over a reservoir to enable visitors to enjoy the area.. and an unknown walker surveys the lush greenery of an English summer day... and the water itself..... for without such,,... there would be no life.

The location is ''Lineacre dams'' one of three built between - 1855 - 1904.. to supply drinking water to the town of 'Chesterfield' - Derbyshire - UK.

I love the boardwalk along the side of the reservoir.........what a great idea.............and the water level still seems pretty good. The figure in the distance adds a good sense of scale.

Indeed, what an appropriate and beautiful image and thought for our event day. Really well composed to show off your idea. And a pathway to move one towards the next adventure (or for just a stroll). Our event day is marking a freedom - freedom for the masses to be able to photograph. This is a lovely photo.

Do you get to go here often? I would love to be able to see this on a regular basis. Did you choose to make your way there for our event day?

Many thanks Laura'.... for your most in depth comment.. yes we do actually visit these dams with woodland paths regularly and also for the purpose of this picture.. the area is usually bounding with wildlife but sadly for this photo' - there were no four legged creatures visible in the field nor ducks on the water at this point !.. // I reckon they were camera shy and in hiding !......
