The local library 'Old Brampton' ..''Please come in''

The local library 'Old Brampton' ..''Please come in''
The old telephone booths of the past get fewer.. not all are removed from the site.. here in the village of 'Old Brampton' near Chesterfield - this booth has been adapted to make a local book exchange.
The sign on the door reads... ''Please come in''

ColRam, Frans Schols, Sarah P., Gabi Lombardo and 8 other people have particularly liked this photo

Ha' ha'... that's correct Diana'... this one is really well stocked with books no doubt by the local residents who I might add... most own horses and are probably millionaires...

I love these old phone boxes David. When we used to travel to Norfolk regularly to our holiday home, we used to pass a place where they bought up the old boxes and renovated them. His front garden had several of them !!!
Lovely capture, well done.
Have a great evening David.

Gotcha'.. June.. when we were caravan touring.. we enjoyed Norfolk (and Suffolk) so much... and when our boys grew older they needed more to do.. so we used 'Searles' at Hunstanton. We have cycled most of the country lanes around.. lovely memories.
Thanks for comment.. keep good.. Cheers from David J.

A great idea for a book swap, David. We have so many books and periodically donate books to the local church fayre and to charity shops in the nearest town. The problem is that I take 5 books out of the house and bring back 6. ;-)

Perfect! There are many book exchanges hereabouts, and some are quite cute, but using the quintessential English telephone booth is a brilliant idea.
