Police box - adjacent Sheffield town hall.

Police box - adjacent Sheffield town hall.
One of only a few remaining here in the UK. this restored police box is no longer used as it was originally intended. It is now featured mainly as a backdrop for visiting tourist photographs.

A long time since I visited Sheffield. My Mum's family had a sports shop centred there (with branches all over the north). It's long gone now but was a much loved Sheffield instition for many years (Sugg Sports).
A very fine shot!

Andy'.. yes it was ''the'' sports shop at the time.. and I knew Suggs' very well.. and also a 'Rowland Wood' who worked there. He lived at 'Foxholes Lodge' - Rivelin - where I spent much of my youth.. hence my old 'Panoramio' user name. I knew the house due to his son John becoming a pal and can you believe (late 50s) Rowland kept his shotguns hanging on the kitchen wall !

... the "pop" of color catches the eye (really!!), but you have captured some nice textures/stonework-shapes here too ...
