A stroll along three 'Derbyshire dales'.... From the vicinity of the village of 'Litton' we drop down 'Tansley dale' .. turning to the right at the end... we come to the pleasant stream side walk along 'Ravensdale' ..pictured here.. to continue south takes walkers to the most lovely and well known.. 'Monsal dale... Dj.

There are many dry stone walls - rocks - tree branches and fences.. Gudrun.. all thickly covered with the moss you mention..

I know all these. My Mum is from Derbyshire originally and I too was born in the county and I also used to come here for walks and climbing (Stanage Edge, etc) with the Uni Mountaineering Club. Enjoyed climbing at Water-Cum-Jolly, near Monsal Dale. Do you know it??

It's not on any map that I know of but it's named in all the Derbyshire Dales and Edges, climbing manuals. Go and Google it and you'll find the odd photo or three under images.

Andy'.. gotcha' thanks.. plenty of pictures there.. I'm sure we've done the walk several times.. we know it as 'Chee dale' following the 'Wye' - beautiful.. as it weaves in and out beneath the 'Monsal trail' some fair rocks too.. I can appreciate why you climbed there...
