Hi David ~ The granite cliffs to the immediate west protect the houses in Sennen Cove whilst the where the earth meets the sand further along the long curving beach can suffer erosion, in fac tthere was some the evening before we left. Hanwe

This little corner of the world seems to be somewhere that time forgot. A gentle group of folks seem to be waiting for one of the tractors to tow a fishing boat into the sea.
A belated HFF dear Nick. We have been a way.

Welcome home dear LGM ~ The group of people are unknown to us, but seem well equipped for a day on the beach. The harbour provides a fairly safe spot for swimming if the weather is calm or not too windy. The fishing boats tend to venture out in the evening or later and return in the morning but I might have it wrong and the tide plays a part too. The boats can be winched in from the lowest tide to the highest. I've never seen a boat go out with trippers on here. St Ives is a good spot for that.
I hope that you are both well and enjoying things
