Foreground Fence!
NCB 11 is the temporary National Coal Board (NCB) identity for the preserved Great Western Railway (GWR) 813 locomotive, which appeared at the recent Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala. The locomotive, originally built for the Port Talbot Railway and later part of the GWR and NCB fleets, was repainted and renumbered 11 to celebrate the industrial past, a move that was part of a special double-header with visiting NCB 49.
Highley used to be a coal mining town, so it is quite an appropriate place to see the NCB locomotive and a freight train.
