Old walls of South Wheal Mine

My dear Peter,

It is an excellent picture of the ruins of this unusual mine!
The iformation I have says that the mines engine house it housed a inverted compound beam engine, one of only three or four in the world.
You have made a wonderful picture with these old stone walls of the South Wheal Mine!
It really looks great againts to the blue sky in a nice suny September day!

As you know, the Cornish mines encouraged the development of steam engines, long before the days of railway.. So an important industrial relic too. Sadly the engine is long gone!
