Let me also say that many of those spectacular moon pics you see with a gigantic moon are photoshopped.... Not real!

In this case, the moon genuinely was there in that part of the sky. As I said to Herb, "This is what is known as a 'supermoon' ie when it is closest to Earth. That makes it look a lot bigger than normal."
If you look in my 'Moon' album www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/album/1047510 and look carefully at the big moons, you will see that the moon rolls as it goes across the sky, ie the same bit is not always at the top. If you find a genuine moon picture from that time at that night, you will see that the pattern of light and dark is exactly correct. Proof of a genuine Moon photo!
Of course a bit of post processing to clean up the picture...

Wow, so atmospheric, just brilliant!
Bats have been in the papers a lot here recently. Obviously the young ones have problems finding their way home and end up in people's houses and in offices if windows are left open;-)
