I am pleased you found it interesting, and thank you so much for sharing what you found out.
The gentleman who showed us round explained that over the years it has had many re-builds, with different styles of architecture, and that much evidence remains (eg round windows replaced by pointed ones) of past styles. I know you will enjoy coming here!

When I visited this restaurant in Germany (https://www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/47922564 ) I discovered that relatives of the owners knew my father! It is interesting to speculate on such coincidences!
