I'm pleased that you have enjoyed it!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Amelia clubThank you for visiting!
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
An even closer look, and bit of calculation, would show that it was taken from a place accessible to the general public. That aside, I have done the trackside permit exam for this railway...!!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Erhard Bernstein clubThank you for visiting!
I am pleased you found it interesting.
In fact this is a very simple signalling regime.. There is only one token. If you have it, you can proceed!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Annalia S. clubYour visit is much appreciated. Thank you!
I am so happy that you like the scene.
I took about 50 pictures between the train leaving the station and passing me. Only two actually showed the token exchange, so I am pleased that you noticed!
As Steve has said below, that maze of switches is really quite simple, but greatly exaggerated by the low angle and zoom lens.
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Best wishes ... Steve

Very much influenced by www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/45464010 from when Alan and yourself were there, but not wanting to duplicate the shot (which in fact was impossible, as the signal post has moved) I thought I would take a few as it left the station, and pick the best..
As for orange jacket, in fact not necessary. As I said to Amelia above, a 'depth of field' calculation clearly puts me on the public road by the crossing!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter

I am sure you were knowing very well where will you stand, to take this wonderful one.

Have a wonderful Sunday and St David's day!

Glad you like it.
What an amazing set of coincidences we share... Your parents were here, I was in Bellingham and the islands.. Surely a sight your parents must have seen all those years ago!
I do have an album from the railway here.. www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/album/1018210
Feel free to share the path of your ancestors!
Best Wishes, and a Good Week ahead,
