Peter_Private_Box club has replied to LotharW clubIch war mehr besorgt um meine Torte und Pommes!
Zum Glück hat alles überlebt.
Schöne Grüße
Peter

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Amelia clubIt is very simple really.. A picnic with pies, chips, etc followed by cakes and fruit.. with lashings of ginger beer!!
I think the seagull fancied staying alive a little longer!!
Best Wishes
Peter
Maybe he was looking for some bread!!! (like in La Maison... )

Peter_Private_Box club has replied to Steve DThank you for visiting!
I'm happy that you had a good look!!
There are actually notices very clearly displayed saying "Don't feed the seagulls!", but either the seagulls can't read, or they have no respect for laws about stealing...
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter"

Now you mention it, they did seem pretty well behaved (both people and birds!). I certainly remember the notices about not feeding them.
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter

You are so right! Some years ago I saw one swallow a whole chicken leg, bones and all, without problem... I guess we don't get t see them up close that often..

I'm pleased that you have enjoyed it!
I visited Howth a couple of years ago, and enjoyed it very much (including a nice restaurant overlooking the harbour). I remember the seagulls lining up on the roofs to raid the fish lorry!
I must dig out some of the pictures and post them!
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter

I'm happy that you had a good look, and thought of Jonathan!- Livingston!
Jonathan - he say..."For most gulls it was not flying that matters, but eating. For this gull, though, it was not eating that mattered, but flight."
Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter
Karen's Place club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubI really enjoyed his writing and even met him with his lovely wife, Leslie Parrish, at a book signing many years ago.
