My Dear Füsun,

Thank you so much for visiting, and your kind awards. This was at a local nature reserve, but we do get them in the garden very often. They will feed happily from the feeders there, but the natural setting makes a better picture, I think!

Hello Peter a smashing shot of this shy little bird ... well taken indeed

Best wishes ... Steve

Thank you Steve,

Your visit and kind comments are much appreciated. I must say that I have never seen one of these on the ground like this, they seem to stay in the branches..

Hello Peter, HE IS SO COLORFUL... what a good shot you were able to capture, well done, and a YS for me....

Thank you Sarah,

I am so pleased that you have enjoyed the picture. They are probably one of our most colourful small birds, and like Steve said, keep hidden.
I am sure that all you guys are getting very excited about your total eclipse on the 21st. Let us hope you have clear skies for your once in a lifetime experience!!
