Ive never been inside but have been here to purchase some of this man's fruits and vegetables. especially his fresh grown Sweet Potatoes !! mmm His sister, tho passed now, was such a good friend of mine, I called her "my other Mother" after I lost mine. a very nice family group !!

It is kind of just what I imagined. It reminds me of George Washington's house (which I visited a few years ago), and some other big houses from the period.
I can just imagine sitting out on the porch in a rocking chair sipping hot toddies.. Maybe some servant lady bringing fried chicken and watermelon.... Perhaps the owners of the neigbouring farm would come by on their horse drawn wagon, their wives in long frilly dresses and pretty bonnets....
What a wonderful life it must be to live here!!!!

Hi Peter, I can see why you imagine those glorious scenes:) those were the good ole days and I used to LOVE hearing my grand parents speak of those very things. :) all the neighbors would gather each week at whoever was gathering tobacco and all would help. no one having to be paid either, just great neighbors helping their neighbors. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WORLD, Peter??? I was very young and saw all this played out in front of me...I ran around aggravating everyone :))) not! Just had loads of good clean fun !!! what a fantastic time in my life.
