Just a bit quicker than snail mail I guess Sarah. It looks like an early Allis Chalmers tractor ~ Hugs

Hello Nick, so many unique mail boxes across the rural areas:) Had to slow to snap this one. You may be correct about the Allis Chalmers tractor ... and I was impressed that they found a place for the Flag! thanks Nick., good wishes and hugs, Sarah

Hi Sarah,

A very nice find. Must be a childs toy of some kind been recycled.
My guess is a cross between Allis Chalmers and Farmall. The shape of the fuel tank is pretty much the same on both.
Gets a star anyway for good initiative!

Best wishes

Hello Peter, thanks for your visit.. Ya know, you may be right about this being a small child's toy, as it was rather large just for a mail box. I will take a closer look when out that way next time. you guys know more about the kind of tractor this is:)) tho my grand dad did have the Farmall tractor I think. Have a good weekend, and thanks again, Sarah

Rosa, this is indeed unusual, but then, out in our rural area, there are many unique mail boxes!!. in town, the mail man walks up to the porch mostly, but of course, these type boxes, in the country, have rural carriers in their vehicles.
