ooops! I missed your visit and comment dear Steve. HAHA YES an alien indeed :) it just seems such an odd , tall "bloom" from this large palm. as mentioned on another shot, this thing was featured in our local paper last week :) Yep I ran pretty fast :)) BUT did get a shot :))

Wow that's amazing Sarah! I had a palm that everyone said would not grow, so I planted it beneath my kitchen window (not this house) and guess what....it grew so big that I had to reluctantly cut it down. We couldn't see out of the window ;-))

I have to admit I only cut it down when we put the house up for sale....It made me feel like I was somewhere hot, even in the winter. LOL!!

Very interesting discussion of the trees... Maybe a simple explanation.. someone threw away a pineapple here, and it started to grow around the tree!
