South West Peninsula Coast Path. August 2014
My question for the group 'Ask an Expert' is this.
Are these actually Shetland ponies? It sparked a lively debate on Panoramio but was never truly resolved. The notice boards all say Shetland Ponies, but quite a few viewers said they were too big and must be another breed..

Asparagus and Samphire Islands from Carvannel Downs, Cornwall. My girlfriend was bowled over by this view and didn't want to leave!
(She had only ever seen it it on cloudy / misty days before - what a difference a bit of sun makes in Cornwall!).
I know where it is, but can any of you spot St Ives here?

Another re-post, this time one more shot from 2011.
View towards the expansive beach at Perranporth (in the far distance!).
A fire in July 2017 sadly destroyed the vegetation on The Beacon. But it will recover in a few years.

If you follow this path down to where it meets the cliff face ahead, you can then be guided by the blue rope (more easily visible on large) down the steep slope to the beach. It's much easier than it looks but not for the fainthearted!
At low tide you simply walk round the headland!
My 200th photo on ipernity. That equates to just over one a day. More than I thought. I hope to upload 1,000s eventually!! :o)
Still in love after all these millennia!

The very last photo I uploaded from my much-lamented Nokia N95 camera-phone (a much better camera than a phone, I would say!). The next day I dropped it in a piece of marshy ground and it was past recovering even though I tried to dry it out in a bag of rice, as recommended by all and sundry!
The lichen on the rock really is this bright!

Coastal Erosion at Ralph's Cupboard, Portreath, Cornwall. Not the cleverest place to stand and take a shot, I grant you!

I have walked this stretch of the Roman road many times these past 5 years and I always stop and give an apple to my friend here. My girlfriend brings a few carrots (although she wasn't present on this occasion). Horsey accepted the apple graciously enough but turned away as soon as he realised carrots weren't forthcoming!
Cornish colour fantasy.

Some will remember this from Pano and 23 hq. Pure fantasy with a bit of tweaking of tone but the colours at that moment were not far off this!
Bosigran Head, Zennor, Cornwall - the main climbing cliff.
2nd posting on ipernity; first time 4 years ago but worth a re-show just for the colours of this early evening shot!

Cornish cliff granite can be as fun as the granite I find in La Sierra de Guadarrama, Central Spain, for scrambling around in!
Sea carrot on a misty day.

The day started out foggy and ended up in brilliant sunshine. This was early on but there were signs of the fog lifting.
Sea carrot is in the same family (the parsley family) as carrots but I have no idea if any part of it is edible.

HFF! PLEASE STAY, DON'T RUN AWAY (ESPECIALLY NOW)!…
