H. A. N. W. E. everyone!
Low tide. Fishing Cove and Hell's Mouth from The Knavocks, Reskajeage, Cornwall.
For Pam.
The people on the beach at Fishing Cove give an idea of scale.
Carn Gloose (or Gluze)

View to Sennen and Land's End. Granite coast - old tin mining country. West Penwith, Cornwall.
For Pam.
Carvannel Downs, Porthcadjack.

Sea carrot, heather and gorse on the downs overlooking Samphire and Asparagus Islands and the cliffs of Northcliffs, Hell's Mouth, The Knavocks and Godrevy in the distance. Godrevy Isalnd and lighthouse can just be seen and the hills of West Penwith are on the horizon, about half way to Land's End.
For Pam.
On full screen please.
Sight and sound, for no other reason that I like the song and the under-rated artist Sixto Rodriguez

A very calm sea! A high tide shot. At low tide the golden expanse of Pednvounder Beach lies below.

A bit of Jethro, to get that true Cornish spirit!
Sight and Sound.
Porthcadjack
Near Gurnard's Head. The remains of VERY old stone…

Porthmeor Cove, between Bosigran and Treen, Gurnard's Head, Zennor, Cornwall.
It has been claimed that these are the remains of the oldest man made stone constructions anywhere in the world still in use for their original purpose. Well, I don't think they are very effective as field walls today but I get the drift!
South West Peninsula Coast Path, Portreath for Pam…
Godrevy

Fishing Cove and The Knavocks.
North Cliffs, coastal erosion and heather.

Very recent rock fall here. I used to stroll over what is now sweet fanny adams!
For Pam!
Porthgwarra. Tunnel for boats - and people!
|
|
|
|
The tunnel links the small beach at this tiny fishing hamlet, with a more protected cove. The small boats could be hauled through the tunnel up to the latter if the seas threatened to be too rough for the beach. That frayed old blue rope is handy if the granite is wet underfoot!
For Pam!
