It was explained to me recently, that HFF shots that tried to be added to the group before 10pm on the Thursday, allowances being made for time zones, would not be allowed to join!!!!! Seems harsh to me! I sometimes have to go to bed early on Thursday evening and don't have the opportunity to add an HFF shot on Friday at all, so I feel hard done by sometimes with this sort of intransigence! It's not as though I bomb the group on a Monday!

In some weeks, Friday is my busiest day so ip won't get a look in. Its why I post my HFFs on Thursday evening, when I get a chance. Otherwise it would have to be on Saturday which rather defeats the object!

A while ago moderators took away the option of posting late on Thursday night. Actually, first I was told off for interpreting "late on Thursday night" too loosely (I had tried to do so sometime after 8 p.m.), then the "late on Thursday night" option seemed to disappear altogether and the group does not even appear on the list at other times. I don't know what originated this decision and while I understand that moderators might have their constraints too, I agree that this feels like a rather intransigent stance. I used to enjoy inviting people who posted pictures the group might like (always making sure to tell them they needed to accept the invitation only on a Friday), but now I find that I can only do this if I happen to see the photo on a Friday. Invitation is a good way to bring new blood to the group, which keeps it lively for all participants. It seems self defeating to block it.

I will remove myself from the group because of their intransigence, unless some flexibility is shown. Ipernity needs a bit of flexibility to cope with everyone's different lifestyles. I don't 'bomb' groups, so dislike being lumped in with those that do, or that seems to be the inference, alongside groups that restrict one to one new addition to a group a day. Again, I don't bomb sites but when I can add photos to groups perhaps once a fortnight, invariabley I need to add 5, 6 or 7 sometimes, especially when that group is 100 views. Then it gets to be a mess and I have to wait until 200 views, and sooin. It's frustrating and detracts from the enjoyment of the site. I would recommend a maximum across all groups of, say, 30 a week. Just a thought

Great photo Andy,
I often add the photo well ahead of Friday , but add it to the group on Friday.
Takes less time that way, haven't noticed a problem with that way.
If it misses out for the week I don't find it to be the end of the world, I have more things to worry about . Hence I have not been very active on ipernity for several months now.
