Didn't they used to call these tunnels "Smugglers tunnels"? This is a brilliant picture - you can imagine how much fun children have running through here.

Maybe they did but this one was used more for lugging fishing boats from one cove to the other depending on tides and weather conditions, etc.

I live in Madrid permanently and only visit Cornwall for a couple of weeks every couple of years. It will be a longer gap than that this time, sadly and my parents are getting older ...

What is 'hard', Isabel? My girlfriend thinks that the new decree means that people should still go to work, including her. It is not clear!!! I know that I can't give face to face classes and am restricted to my flat but I can give online or telephone classes in some cases.

I meant that in big cities quaratine is more difficult than in isolated villages... and harder to go shopping for food.
By prescience or coincidence I took La Peste to read in Norway last month... I dont know if people will learn the lesson this time and be less arrogant, but no hope when I see how fast spanish flu and WWI horrors, WWII extermination camps etc were thrown away as things of a remote past.
I confine myself as I can, I am lucky to have desert nature close, I help older ones even if I am not so young myself...

Replying to this this very late due to computer issues as you know. But temporarily I have a computer window (I can see signs that it will 'die' again shortly).

I live in the middle of a desert, uphills there is very few people and in the seaside there is almost nobody: place too expensive to live for most, and per the workers as everything is closed they are not there...
