Upper Falls of the Yellowstone
The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with its two great waterfalls is at Canyon Junction, the east junction of the two loops of Yellowstone's main road. There are two side roads there, the North and South Rim Drives that follow the canyon far enough to get good views of both falls. These are the Upper Falls. The viewpoint from which the last inset was taken is just visible above the falls on the right.

Bonne semaine.
"Nature et Nous"
Have a nice week.
One thing that you'll find amusing is how much Pumpkin enjoys the sound of running water. She whistles and chirps, laughs and makes all kinds of noise to accompany the sounds, it's so cute! The sink and shower are always great fun for her, but she ALSO loves to go on hikes with us, especially when water can be heard. She LOVED Yosemite, for example, as we made a point to hike next to loud streams...the cackling was nearly nonstop! :D In other words, if she were close enough to these falls, we'd all be laughing along with Pumpkin! :D
Glad you enjoyed my silly Ferris Bueller's link...that scene is so totally hysterical and it was wonderful to be able to link it to you!
It's always such fun to learn which of my pictures you like best, and it made me feel good that you liked my family of mushrooms picture...I really struggled with that one. It's not as sharp as it should be but darn it, I adored the fact that they were growing out of a stump and were now about dried up. Such a disappointment that my pictures weren't crisp or the dof was too shallow. So I tried this and that and actually made a completely different attempt after I settled on the first finished version. One nice thing about a picture that needs extra help is that I get to stretch my creative wings and that is such fun! It can be a huge challenge and I am really fussy about being happy with the outcome. I don't know if you ever try creative artwork with your pictures but it is almost like painting or drawing because you sort of need to step away and think about how you like it, and what might be an interesting addition or whatnot. Adding / changing textures, colors, etc...anyway, it's just amazing all you can do to a picture if you want to get creative. I have to stop myself at some point because it's endless! :D
I LOVE that my pictures inspire you so much. It's such a nice compliment, Ron. I feel the same way you do about your pictures and I am especially driven to visit the places you present to us. I love your comment, Perhaps you should stop posting them until we manage to get out. Hahahahahah, NOPE! Ain't gonna happen! :D
Oh, and I do love hearing about your latest food/cooking/alcohol/etc... In regards to English Muffins being "bad"...truly, carbs may not be the best thing in the world but plenty of people, you included, have no issues with them and you NEED the weight-adding aspects of them!
And by the way, look at all of the keto alternatives to a regular flour recipe! I bet they are wonderful! www.google.com/search?q=keto+english+muffin+recipe&oq=keto+engl&aqs=chrome.0.0j69i57j0l6.2672j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
You have a good point about international flights being more worth it because of the time you'll be there. Makes sense but all I can think of was how horrendous the experience was for us, brrrrrrrrrr.
Sounds like your granddaughter's pre-school program was a raving success, so glad Neal had such fun! :)
All of your various alcohols that you're making sound grand...though I'm not too sure about that Aquavit...dill, fennel, caraway, citrus and star anise? *green face* But I have never tried something like that and it might be fabulous! Steve hates the flavor of anise but I like it, so I would predict I might enjoy the flavor, though Steve probably wouldn't. He'd try it though!
You make me think about us trying to make something like that, hmmm.
Ok I'm out for now! Pictures to process and comments to write! :D Have a lovely day!

Dazzling effect along with the water of the river and fall!
Great panorama, Ron!
