On our most recent trip to Grand Canyon National Park (2023) we hiked the South Kaibab Trail to Skeleton Point, about half way down the canyon. This was the view from Skeleton Point.

Hiking to Skeleton Point on the South Kaibab Trail gave us this view of the Colorado River, still far below.

Taken in the evening on our first trip to Grand Canyon while hiking west along the Rim Trail.. I had been there as a youngster, but my wife had never seen the canyon. We've been there twice since.

Another one from the archives, this is of Mohave Point in Grand Canyon National Park. We had made a trip to Grand Canyon but heavy snowfall defeated our plans to hike into the canyon and though we hiked the Rim Trail we only stayed one night before going on to warmer climes.

These are a couple more photos of Grand Canyon from the archives, both of the South Kaibab trail which we hiked to Skeleton Point. Skeleton Point lies beyond O'Neill Butte, the formation on the right of the photo.

When this photo was taken we were hiking into Grand Canyon via the South Kaibab Trail. We hiked beyond o'Neill Butte, the formation straight ahead, to Skeleton Point, beyond the butte,

This was taken along the Rim Trail in Grand Canyon National Park near Yavapai Point. The trail follows the road along the south rim.

Going through some archives and decided to post this evening photo from Grand Canyon, taken just outside the east entrance to the national park at an overlook. We went on from here to car-camp for the night in the national forrest.
